Anyone no what model and what years they were made?
On the barrel its says 20 guage choke bore barrel and lug forged in one. On the receiver it says Iver Johnson's Arms & cycle works Fitchburg Mass USA
I think the Locking Bolt Spring is broken.

i have a iver johnson pistol that was my greatgrand mothers.ss# 0 or c cant tell 31978. T.16.04 pat pending. It is either a 32 or 38 six shot.Anyone have a guess.looks rough but i think it will shoot just fine.Just need to know 32 or 38. 0 -
If your carbine is a copy of the U.S. 30 caliber carbine it might be a collector to someone who really wants one. They pop up on GB once in a while and generally sell in the $150- $200 range. 0 -

Yes, Cletis, they were made in .22 Mag., gas operated. Don't know for sure how the magazine is marked but it is my understanding that they are an Erma product made for Iver-Johnson. I've also wondered whether anyone knows where one might find another magazine for these guns. I saw something once iin these forums about a German made collector group but haven't been able to find it again. Next time I get into my attic I'll check capacity and marking and let you know. 0 -
I have a few clips for this, I think. They look like the 22LR clip but are stamped 22 WRM. I've was looking for one of these in 22 Mag, but was told they were'nt made. There are 2 for action now, but in 22LR. 0 -
The gun was made in .22 mag, but it was much, much more common in .22lr. 0 -
I bought one of these in lr a long time ago at Wal-Mart for 110.00, bought an extra mag for it, really good shooter. My dad liked it so much I finally gave it to him for Christmas.
