Does it have a tangent sight or is the back strap slotted for a shoulder stock?
Either or both of these two "extras" would add to value.
Even if the Hi-Power is a "standard" model, the price is right.
Not a steal, but you don't find that many "nice" ones anymore.

Pre-war High Powers could be worth $300-$6000 or more depending on variation. If it has a military crest could bring an added $200-$2000...of course everything depends on condition and variation. Tangent sights and slots for shoulder stocks are a plus. The price doesn't sound out of line if it has the original finish. Some variations were built under different contracts prior to the war.... Chinese, Peru, Lituania, Estonia, Muscat, Oman, Waffenamt Nazi proofed, and FN commercial....

I do know that some of these were "import marked".
    Purchase accordingly. 101

It is a FN commercial pistol without shoulder slot or tangent sight. I would rate the original finish 99% and it has no import marks.
It looks brand new inside and out.

    but,
Forgot to mention on earlier post.
    Just to make sure.
You might double check to make sure the magazine is correct for that particular era of Hi-Power.
Had a friend buy a similar Hi-Power and found out later that the correct "split-tail" magazine had been replaced by "later" type.
That's what I love about Hi-Powers; considering the vast numbers that have been produced through the years, there's always another "variation" that may be a "One-of-a-kind" and worth a bunch.
