You would be in the ballpark, but the reblue puts the screws to it.
I would say probably 50 to 100 bucks less. Off the top of my head, I don't know what the scope setup is worth. Good Luck.

2001 blue book is only $350 for a 100% origional finish (+$20 for the 8 3/8 barrel). Reblued will drop the value greatly and the mount and optics won't add much.
Personaly I'd expect to see the sale price in the 200-250 range, but I've been wrong before

    Send it to Greenland !
I can use darn near everything hehehe.

Nah - i believe it's the reblueing that puts it off - can't be sure how good it turns out.
If you could get a brand new gun - original blueing for a little less.. it'd have to be special. (The Tasco-thingy is allrighty though...!!!)

But get at it - someone is bound to bite into it. =o)
Maybe throw in a box or two of bullets....

    ALAMAGUNS,

Priced in gun list @nib for $ 300.00. The re-blue decreases the value
as the arm was either shot a great deal, carried a great deal or both.
Forget the mount and scope. Trascho is BK. I know that there is an adder for the barrel length. Also if an "S" prefix and nickel. Original Dealer Price w/o extras was $350.00. I purchased one new at the near end of production, about 1990. Sold it years later for much less. Perhaps you should reconsider the price? Just as a shooter.

How many friends, relatives and acquaintances do you have? Do you about 50? How about getting a deck of cards and try raffling it off. Say 10 bucks a card for 50 cards. I know the deck has 52. The last person has 3 cards to chose from. Tear the cards in half. Have the person write their name and phone number on one half. They keep one half and you get the one with their information. Have a neutral party pick a card out of a hat or bowl. The winner gets the firearm. Make sure that many of the card buyers are present. Been there.

    Yanqui,
Now that sounds like a good idea. Why didn't I think of that?
Think I'll go out and buy a few decks of cards.

I think another reason you may be having a hard time selling your S&W M57 is that it is .41 Magnum. As good a cartridge as it is, it's just fallen out of favor these days, just not a whole lot of demand for it. I got rid of my M657 for this reason, I'll stick with my M29 Classic Hunter thank you very much.

I think Blokey called the tune.

A long barreled Model 57 in an off-beat caliber is going to appeal to a very limited clientelle.
