    RN,
I would not put a cent into the Bushnell. Repair would far exceed
    scope value. 101

    RugerNiner,
Bushnell will repair it for you for a flat $10.00 fee, and they will pay for shipping back to you. You will have to pay to ship to them.

Now it's up to you to see if that model is worth it or not.

I bought a busted bushnell at a flea market in 94, sent it to them, and they fixed it for free. I only had to pay the shipping to get it there.

    Thanks bullelk,
I saved that information for when it comes in. I just bought the stuff because it was cheap.

I remember seeing an add in either Gunlist or Shotgun News for a company that did repair on all scope. I'll try to find it, but I just remember a small text only add.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

    leeblackman,
You have to be careful of some of those independent scope repair shops. Most charge an outrageous price to repair a scope. In most cases, you can buy a new one cheaper than the repair bill.
I had an incident where I needed to have a Weatherby scope repaired and Weatherby referred me to some company down South somewhere. Well, after I got done talking to the person on the phone, (who couldn't speak english worth a damn, which pi$$es me off) I was told it was going to cost me so much just to evaluate it first, something like $40.00 plus shipping, then not knowing what the final cost was going to be, I said the hell with it.
    Like they say, Buyer Beware.

    Griz,
In most cases they will send you a bill for $10.00 after they repair, and send you the scope. If you forget to pay the bill, they won't turn you in to a collection agency.
I guess it's their policy to at least cover some of their shipping or handling.

I did the same thing with a Browning bow awhile back. The girl on the phone told me to send the cracked limbs to them and they would take care of it. I tried to explain that I wasn't the original buyer, and she told me to send the limbs. In two weeks I had new limbs and a bill that said no charge. It always amazes me when a company will back their product like that.

    Thanks, Grizztribefans@sssnet.com
