Marlin .45-70
Can any other caliber (like the .45 Long Colt) be safely fired in a Marlin gun Guide in .45-70?
I.E. the way that .357 Magnum will shoot .38 Specials

I would not say it is impossible, but it can ruin your gun or cause Physical harm.

The 45/70 will only chamber the 45/70 round safely. Besides, a rifle 45 bullet is .458 and the 45LC is .451 or.452. Now I have given you an excuse to go buy another gun.

Does not need to shoot anything other than 45/70. A 45/70 is a great round right out of the old west.

Shot some 405 gr. bullets today. Lots of recoil, lots of fun!
