rem 600 barrel swap?

found a rem 600 222 bbl barrel for my 222.this one is not altered.the rib and sights are good.what is required to change these barrels.before i buy the other barrel need to know if it will work on my gun.never have figured out why some one took the rib off the gun i have..thanks ...hard rock miner

  Yep, it will work, may have to turn the barrel in an extra thread and ream a little to get the rib on top and the headspace correct, but worth the effort and cost, those guns are highly sought after here in Va. especially the short magnums in 350 and 6.5, I have a .308 and would not let it go without a fight.
