1866 Henry replica - value?
I found a perfect copy of the Henry 1866 saddle ring carbine.
This thing fooled me, no blueing, looked like the real thing, felt
like the real thing etc. Its old and the stock has been replaced
but the action works. Any value on this ? A great wall hanger...

No such thing as a Henry saddle ring carbine. Don't pay > $10 for something when you don't know what it is.

Correction: Its a Winchester 1866 right after the Henrys
see page 264 of Flaydermans 7 th edition for a photo.0 -
Still can't figure out what it is you're describing.
How do you know that it's a copy, and not a REAL Winchester 1866? Or, are you saying that it's a non-firing replica that just looks realistic?

Neal...thanks for the come back, It is a non-firing replica
that fooled me, I own a 100 guns and should have spotted
a fake at 1st glance. Any value?0 -
Hello jeanders
There is a "Wanted Replica Guns" --- author is 'uandme' --- that is about to disappear in the "Wanted" forum.
It is -- http://forums.gunbroker.com/link.asp?TOPIC ID=18564
1. They are looking for replicas ---- so this might be an opportunity to sell it off.
2. You might like to try the suggestion by the "Supreme One" and look up "grendelscave" on eBay and even make contact with "him/her". They might be willing to give you an evaluation or offer to buy it from you.
3. Welcome to the world --- I have as many firearms as you do and yes, I have been in the same boat, it happens to us all sooner or later.
