Browning Automatic question
A friend in another state has a Browning 9mm automatic marked only "Made in Belgium, Browning Arms Co. - Morgan Utah, Montreal, PQ" and the serial number 72C51799. He is unsure of the model and value for his dad's estate. After monitoring this forum as a lurker for awhile, I figured there were probably some folks out there who could help smarten us up. Please let me know so I can pass the info along.
Thank you

My blue book is a 1999 edition but prices haven't changed much. The book lists a 100% gun at $500 and a 90% gun at $300. 100% means a perfect gun just as it left the factory. 90% means 90% of the original blue remains. 0 -
That's a 1972 mfg. Browning Hi-Power 9mm. Value depends on originality of condition and what someone would pay. Very nice gun, but not hard to find. 0 -
Im not sure but it could be the captian,I would have to see it first. They are fine handguns, but I have had the hammer fly back during fire, and been bitten a time or two by it.Thats the only fault I have with the gun.As for value Herschel hit it on the head. And BBQ05 give you your date.Thats what makes this forum what it is the people willing to share their Knowledge.
Good luck.

Thank you all for your help. I'll pass along the information. I don't know much about guns but I know about people and you folks are class acts.
