I have Savage Spingfield -840 Chamberd in 222REM
90% great shooter ! Has a 4x12 Bushnell Sportsview.
What a fair price ?

  I saw that it'd been a day or so since you asked so I drug out my gun traders guide to look for you, sorry, no listing.
  Not supprising, I have a savage springfield model 187R in 22 HS,SHORT, LONG, OR L.R. AS AUTO no serial # either, decent little rifle, but its not listed either.
  maybe this will put your post BTT for someone with a better book-Ralph

  the 840 is just a plainer version of the 340 savage.usually its got western auto or some other hardware store name on it.around here they usually bring around $200 without a scope.good luck
