Shotgun gauge help
Picked up a single shot shotgun today, made by CBC model 605. Nows heres my question it's marked "cal .28/70 what does this trsnslate to in our gauges? It's looks bigger than a 410 and smaller than a 20 gauge, a 28 gauge maybe? Not a bad looking little gun , it has a little lever you pull back where the hammer would be to cock it. It even looks like it has a auto ejector. I would be greatfull for any help. Thankyou

sounds like one of the "brazil" made singles , fair looking , fair
quality , good luck if you ever need any parts...most likely is a 28,
let us know if interested in selling , we have a customer that likes these....
Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!

I know the company once made a limited run of the now obsolete 32Ga.Tailgunner 1954 is correct about the 28ga being 70mm,if you had some way to measure it.
Good Luck.

CBC (Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos) which translated means Brazilian Cartridge Company used to be owned or partly owned by Remington. They made the model 310 single under the Remington name. It was not a commercial success. They made the same gun under various model numbers for international sales (not USA). The company was nationalized in 1981 thus ending the ties with Remington. 0 -
