M1 Carbine bolt question

I've got an "import" Inland M1 Carbine. (Nice little shooter.)

I've thought about getting a round "M2 style" bolt for it.

My understanding is that it would be just a "drop-in" part that could be used safely without any professional gunsmithing.

Is this the case? And what about price, etc. for these in the auction?

  Joe,
  
  The round bolt should be interchangeable with the
  flat bolt. Numrich shows 64.15 for a complete round bolt,
  but you don't know for sure if they have one. I have
  ordered some pretty popular parts and they were out.

  M-1 and M-2 bolts are interchangeable. Either will function in semi and full auto mode. It's a matter of personal preference.

  Yes ,
  correct as stated , these are "drop in " type parts , do not take the bolt apart unless you have the handy-dandy bolt holder tool , buy a complete bolt...I have seen several places with carbine parts , shop around before making an order.......Good Luck !!!!!!!!!!!
