Bersa .380
Does anyone have experiences with the Bera Thunder .380? I was thinking about purchasing one. I had read some articles on it that were favorable. When I examined the pistol at the shop, I though the ejection port was kinda narrow and may cause a failure.
What do you guy and gals think?
Thanks

I personaly am not a fan of the .380, but a friend of mine bought a Bersa Thunder in.380. He brought the gun over to show it to me and I was actually impressed. For what he paid for it it felt like a good gun and I liked the way it was desighned, decocker etc. He took it out to my range and at fifteen yards you couldnt hit a pie pan. He was very discoureged that his new gun shot like crap.So I started some research on the gun. I discovered Eagle Indusries was the importer. So he calls them and tells them of his grievance, and they made arrangements to send the gun back.About two weeks later he got his gun back with a letter saying that they replaced the barrel, and sent him a target where the shot a five round string at 25yrds. Of course the target was hit inside the ten ring with all five shots. So my friend brings his gun back to the range and at 25yrds it shot ok there were several flyers. But it shot very well at 15yrds and never malfunctioned not even once. Hope this Helps!

I have fired over 1000 rounds through my bersa thunder 380. Everything from ball to personal protection loads. Never a jam, never a misfire. As they say, "Keep it clean and it will keep you alive." Personal favorite load is Starfire. Buy it and enjoy.

Well armed and well trained...the fundimentals of the 2nd ammendment!!0 -
With around 500 rds. through my Thunder .380 I couldn't be happier. It shoots anything I feed it from super cheap (made somewhere in South America) to Corbon +p. The Corbon is my daily carry rd, it gives you a lot more punch. And since most gunfights occur within 7 feet accuracy at 25 yds. doesn't me diddly, and the 380 will take down a bad guy at that range.
Always remember a .380 on you is better than a .45 in the truck.[:D]0 -
Had mine just over a year. Like you, read good reports on it, so went out and bought one. IMHO...Can't beat them for the price. Inexpensive, but not cheap! Mine has never had a failure, and goes with me every where. Buy it...I think you would be happy with it.
Taxation WITH representation isn't so hot either!0 -
Looked into the best 380s awhile back. Have tried different ammo & worked fine w/ all. As rec. w/ any gun make sure that they fit your hand well. High quality & reliable.
When a friend suggested shooting something about 3", I said see that small tree about the size of little finger, cut it & lowered & cut again. Very accurate.
Pair of BERSA 380s.

I've had mine for as little over one year, get out occasionally with it and have found it to be very accurate and reliable. It fits me perfect and it's not too much for my wife to shoot either. I pray she never uses it, but it's reassuring to know she can and is able to if ever needed.
If the gun "fits" you good, it should be accurate enough and the .380 is enough of a defense gun if your shot is true.0
