I have Bantams on two Model 60s and on also on a Model 66. Absolutely love them although mine are the rubber ones. For me, the recoil absorbing and secure grip from the rubber has made all the difference on my guns. I don't know if the Bantam wood ones come with any texturing, but I consider that very important.

Try a pair of Uncle Mikes boot grips.

My personal favorite on the J frame are the Sile no name finger grips as sold by CDNN.

    Second choice is Pachmayr Compac.

The boot grips are great for concealment, but tough to shoot.

I have Pachmayr's on my Model 49 Bodyguard....not pretty, but they fill the hand and give a wonderful grip.

One of the thimgs I noticed is that the Bantam on the J requires your hand to be a bit back and lower around the grip in order to get the best hold. There's not as much grip overall as I am accustomed to on some of my other guns. Once you shoot it awhile, the adjustment becomes transparent in practice.

Just an opinion but hogue has always worked for me.And the larger size is plus,it gives a little more gripping ability. But what really matters is which ones you like best as your the one carring the gun.

    Goodluck.
