Trouble with my Mossberg 500A

I bought this shotgun off the auction. It's suppose to have a five-shell capacity but for some reason, I can only load two. Has it been plugged? Is there are problem with my gun? Any help would be appreciated.

  They usually come from the factory plugged. Simply remove the barrel and tip the gun muzzle down and a small diameter piece of wood should partially exit the end of the tube through the threaded hole where the barrel attached to the magazine tube.

  In most states, it's ilegal to hunt with the plug removed- you might check the laws in your state. Only 3 rounds for bird hunts.
  For home protection ect.- it's o.k.
