can anybody tell me if an old 94 barrel for a marlin will fit onto a new 1980s manufactured action?

  NOPE, IF YOU ARE (OR HAVE ACCESS TO) A MACHINIST YOU CAN MAKE THE FIT BUT THEY ARE NOT A DIRECT REPLACEMENT.
