DP magazine?

I have a aftermarket 20 round magazine made for a Ruger 9MM.
On the bottom is stamped the letters "DP" on what seems to be a three- quarter inch thick base plate. I assume the thick base plate is for a bench rest shooting, but what does the "DP" stand for?
