wrenches

A friend wants to change his stock and Forearm on an 870..Can he do it without buying wrenches ???

If yes please tell us how.

Without the proper tools and a delicate touch, It is difficult for the inexperienced to do without cracking or splitting some wood...especially the forend... Your gunshop or smith should be able to do it for less than the price of the tools..

The buttstock is simple enough, you need a long large screwdriver for that, unless the bolt has a hex head, then you'll need a socket.

The forend is also fairly simple, but you need a special tool for it.
A gunsmith with the proper tool should be able to do it in less than five minutes, assuming no problems.
