Any value to this Swede ammo?
Picked up a bag of mixed antique ammo the other day at a gun show for $3, 14 rounds of which are vintage Swedish Mauser ammo. It has round nosed bullets of cupro-nickel and is from the 1920's and 30's, with a crown at the top of the headstamp and either a K or an M on the bottom, with the date split on the sides- that is "19" to the left of the primer, and the rest of the date to the right. So is it worth anything to collectors or should I blast it?

JUST SHOOTIN AMMO, PRIMERS ARE CORROSIVE. 0 -
That's what I thought... still maybe I'll take them to a cartridge show and see if I can get perhaps a quarter a round, as what I paid works out to $.08 per round. Otherwise, boom.

Jon, *if* you find someone who'd like them, you should get the quarter each. They are not rare, but certainly not as common as the later spitzer loadings. Most likely, you'd need to find someone who dealt in the stuff. 0 -
Mike Wiskey, are you sure primers are corrosive ? I was always told the Swedes did not use corrosive primers that's why the bores in their rifles are so good.

SWEDES TOOK GREAT CARE OF THIER RIFLES (CLEANING AFTER EVERY USE, ECT.), MOST PRE-WW2 AMMO IS CORROSIVE SWEDISH INCLUDED. STILL GOOD SHOOTING AMMO THOUGH. 0
