I'm going to buy an SKS for my Christmas present to myself.
I have a choice of an older Norinco with matching numbers or a new Yugo SKS. They each cost the same, $139. I imagine I can put a bayonet on the Norinco, but not the Yugo. This rifle will be for behind my truck seat.

Please give me the Pros and Cons on the Norinco and the Yugo.
Which would be your choice and why?

That happens a lot where you have a drop-in for a rifle with so many variations. You can sometimes tighten it up a little with some duct tape under the stock out of sight.

This is common. It is fixed by a small home-made plastic shim placed and glued with epoxy. Glue it onto your new stock where the rear of the receiver meets the new stock. The shim should be roughly
1 inch high X 1/2 inch wide and as thick as a penny or quarter. This fills the small gap and free play between the rear of your receiver and the new synthetic stock. Choate stocks come with this plastic shim.
