What serial number range is it in? 0 -
CP,
You have a valuable gun there. The serial number range will determine how much, or how less it is.

The receiver for your gun was made in May of 1951. It is a very desireable collectable. If the gun is unfired instead of as new it will make some difference in price. The original box, hang tags, and any other paper work will increase it's value. This is just a guess but in the condition you indicate (fired but as new) it would probably go over $1000.00-1200.00. New (unfired with all papers and box) maybe quite a bit more.
P.S. I don't think they made any 22 LR chambered only. It should be S, L or Lr. They did make some 62A's that were chambered for 22 short only for gallery use.

THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO VERY HELPFUL C.P. 0 -
WOW thats great to hear because I have one of those too. Mine isn't brand new but it is in very decent shape. Serial # 372... Family member left it to me in will and I only fired it a handful of times. Thought it was worth around $100 only being a 22. Great to hear. What could I expect mine to go for in decent condition? 0 -
Mine does say S, L or Lr. 0
