10/22 trigger job? essential parts?

Hey all.....my target 22 is comming together but now i need to correct that nasty trigger pull.

heres my question.....what to get? I see packages out there with like 10 parts that are supposed to lower the pull to 3.0lbs.....i could get the Volquartsen trigger group 2000 but i really dont want to spend that much $$$$....and now i just found an auction which includes just the hammer, shims and springs and is supposed to lower it to 1.75 lbs -- 2.25 lbs......(item #4215982) for $30

I realize that in the packages all the parts play a role in lowering the pull....but is it the hammer or what? that plays the biggest role?

for my needs....a 2.5-3.0 trigger pull, would that volquartsen hammer pack suffice?

  If you can cet it for 30 BUCKS get it i it is all the the hammer that drops the pull the most if the bevel is ground to much it will go full auto

  I put a kit in a 10-22,I think it was Custom Power or a name close.It came with hammer,sear,shims and a few springs and it made a great,smooth,light trigger.Bought it from Midway for about 50 bucks.

  Volquartsen stuff is worth the money. The man is an absolute genius in tricking out Ruger .22s. If you don't order a gun from him, get the same parts and let someone fix it up for you.
