No significant difference between these two.

The are both excellant firearms makers (some of the best) These two companys produce far less guns than most arms makers. Rather than make quanity they consentrate on quality. They both have their fans but if you ask me one is about as good as the other.

Both are first rate--it comes down to the individual gun you might buy as to whom you might prefer. Brown offers some rather unique options. While we're at it, you might also consider Les Baer and there are other very fine custom builders. However, something about one or the other might just clinch it for you. I have parts from all three of these guys in my custom Colt.

mballai said it right. To me the one word that stands out is QUALITY. Almost like asking which Ferrari do you like best and why.

I have a Protector from Wilson and a Premier II from Les Baer. Both are great shooters. However my Premier II had to have a new slide stop( which Les sent to me ) as well as re-blued because of scratches on the slide when I recieved it from Les. He re-blued it at no charge. The Premier II is a little tighter on the slide to frame fit but both guns are equally accurate. I personally prefer the Wilson but either gun is worth the money. The slide stop on the Premier II had to be replaced because the original one never did lock the slide back after the last round was fired from any magazine that I used. The replacement slide stop works perfectly. I haven't had any problems with the Wilson .45.
