    I'll give you ballistics for Win. 7x57 145gr SuperX soft point.
    Muzzle vel. 2660, 100yd,2413 200yd,2180 300yd,1954 400yd,1754 500,1564 Muzzle egy 2274 100yd,1875 200yd,1530 300yd,1236 400yd,990 500yd,788 Trajectory muzzle,+1.1 150yd,0 200yd,-2.8 250yd,-7.4 300yd,-14.1 400yd,-34.4 500yd,-66.1. If it hasn't been sporterized or drilled and tapped it'll be worth $90-$130. Sorry for my lack of typing skills and page arrangement.

    Hey tallcowboy-What caliber is it? If it's a 7x57 Mauser which a lot of people in this country don't know much about, go to your local library and get a copy of Jack O'Connor's "The Hunting Rifle" and read his comments on the round. He thought a lot of it and describes his wife's rifle in that caliber and the results obtained. I get the impression that it's an excellent load for them deers.

    First of all oops I did hve it drilled and tapped cause unlike the rest of my iron sights it was way off too the left and I couldn't hit squat. second the calliber is 7.62 x 54. thanks alot to the replies guys.

    Is that the .308? You don't mean that it is 7.62 x 54r do you?

    Your caliber reference peaked some curiosity in me, as it sounded a little strange. Upon research I find that there is a Russian connection during the Spanish Civil War which makes this caliber possible. If it is indeed 7.62x54 it's ballistics would be similar to a 30-06.
