Well, you can give the dealer your money, but he can't deliver the gun to you until 1) 30 days has elapsed, and 2) MSP approves your application to purchase.

That sounds like it would meet the Maryland requirements. You will, of course, need the cooperation of the Maryland dealer. The gun has to be shown as an acquisition on his books when he receives it; it would stay there until disposition to you is finalized. I'm sure that he will call MSP if he has any questions.

I am an FFL holder in S.Carolina. We also have a maximum handgun purchase limit of one every 30 days.. All sales must be reported to the State Law Enforcement Division, within 10 days. I frequently have customers that wind up obtaining more than one handgun at a show or auction. The handgun(s) is transferred to me and I simply put it in my safe and in my log until 31...yes 31... days have passed. We wait 31 days just to be sure..Some folks (authorities) may interpret 30 days as being a month... Bank robbers don't get in as much trouble as an FFL that transfers more than one gun to the same person in less than 30 days... 0 -

you are correct that you can buy it now and wait for 30 days to pick it up. A buddy of mine in our fine republik of MD does it all the time.
