    through the officer's police department.

If it weren't for lawyers, I wouldn't need a lawyer.

Then there is Glock. We will sell to individual LEOs when authorized on Dept Letterhead with the required Glockspeak ,ie., for use in official duties, not for resale (LE cost straight from Glock is cheaper than our cost from wholesaler), not for personal use (as a LEO are you really ever OFF duty?)etc.

To expound on Saxon's comments, some guns are marked LE Only and are only sold to LEO's, i.e., Bushmaster's AR-15 LE models. These have the collapsible stock, bayonet lug (although why we need bayonets is beyond me), flash suppressor, etc. LE firearms can be sold to individual officers with an authorization letter on department letterhead (with the exception of Class III weapons).

    austin is correct.

However, LEO-marked semi-automatic assault weapons and high cap mags purchased by individual officers may ONLY be transferred by the officer or his estate to a LE dept or another LEO. This applies until the law is changed or eternity, whichever comes first.
