Value is in the $500-$2,000 range, depending upon the EXACT condition, as well as originality of all parts and the finish.

Thanks for the reply. Gun appears to be tight, barrel shows no pitting, as for the finish, shows very light holster wear on slide, has 95% of original blue finish balance of gun. All internal parts show no wear, would rate as excellent overall. Holster is BOYT issue 1942, thanks again Bob

Original magazines should be half-blue, or all-blue with a lanyard loop.

If the barrel is original, I think it would sell in the $1,500 range.

Thanks for the information on the 1911. A to the barrel, I am pretty sure it is the original as it appearsto be in the same condition as the rest of the gun. Barrel is bright with clear lans and groves. I do know that I have fired this weapon off a bench at 25ft. and it will hold a 2 to 3" group, which is acceptable for a military firearm. Thanks again for all of the information, this baby is a "keeper" for sure, Bob

SERIAL # INDICATES 1918 COLT, FINISH SHOULD BE BLUE, MAINSPRING HOUSING SHOULD NOT BE ARCHED, SMOOTH FINISH NOT CHECKERED, WITH A LANYARD LOOP, GRIPS SHOULD HAVE DIAMONDS AT THE SCREW HOLES, BARREL SHOULD HAVE AN (HP) YOU CAN SEE WHEN YOU LOOKING AT IT WITH THE SLIDE CLOSED THRU THE EJECTION PORT, THE CORRECT MAGAZINE WILL ALSO HAVE A LANYARD LOOP. BEST ADVICE IT'S A KEEPER!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHOOT IT ONCE IN A WHILE, CLEAN IT, & ENJOY!!! GET ANOTHER NONE COLLECTABLE TO SHOOT ON A REGULAR BASIS.
