What can you tell me about this .22?
Picked up a single shot .22 today. It is marked H.S.B.&Co. "Cruso" Model C.22L.R. Guy at the store thought it might be German or Belgian but it seems to me I've heard HSB was a hardware store who had guns made for them here in the U.S. It is in good shape, tight action, no bore pitting, some light surface rust, fading to brown in places, nice wood. I paid $125+ tax. Any info? Thanks in advance.

Hibbard, Spenser, and Bartlett is the hardware you were thinking of Early 1900's Thats all I can help with. 0 -
Jonk, it is not listed in the blue book cross over list under the above name or the initials.
It is also not listed in the Gun Parts Corp. cross over list. Better hope the Antique Dr. stops by!

Any info on when these were made? It will impact what type of .22 I shoot out of it. The action is similar but bolt is different to my Remington 33; I shoot regular high velocity out of that.

Hey Cap't Kirk- the pic of the Stevens 53 looks a lot different from what I have. Is the action the same but on a different stock, or what?
