You might find this exchange interesting:

BTW, I finally got my S&W 9mm pistol and it definitely is a big plus to have it compatible with the magazines for the Marlin Camp 9. So if you have one or more Ruger 9mm pistols that use the same magazine as the Ruger PC9, that will be a factor in favor of a PC9.

I agree 100% the Ruger PC9 will except the P series 9mm mags and there are plenty Hi Caps around. I have one and have had no problems with it at all. It feels really good in the hands, and shoots like a tank. 9mm ammo is readily available for sale in bulk for great price. Mine Digest whatever I feed it. I saw some here at Gun Broker very reasonably priced.

    Good Luck.

I do believe the Kel Tec will also accept plentiful hi-cap S&W magazines as do their P-11 9mm Pistols. Don't overlook the hi-point if high capacity isn't a big deal to you. They are inexpensive and Gun Tests magazine rates them better than the Ruger PC9.

Most Kel-Tec Sub 2000 rifles are built to take Glock mags, while some are built to take S&W. I turned down the chance to buy one because it was the Glock type, while I have S&W mags. But it's still a neat gun. Here's the link: http://www.kel-tec.com/prod03.htm

If price is a concern the Hi Point runs around $ 160.00 and the Ruger PC 9 around $400-$450. The Hi Point looks and feels like a piece of junk but boy does it shoot.

I went looking for a High point after gun test mag did such a good review on them but was warned by 4 to 5 shop owners to stay way from high point. Got a kel tec sub for $300, fun to shoot and cool as all hell the way it folds in half. I have the glock and some day hope to get the 30 rd mag. About the only down side is its a short little carbin much like the ak-47.

Tell you what, I think HiPoint handguns are junk, But I have a 9mm carbine and it is one of the greatest plinking or even varmit guns I have ever bought. Even when I believe the 9mm to be a very inefective cartridge(Now don't get riled and go off in tangents guys, it's just my opinion and I put here for expression of my view of this gun). I have put over 5000 rounds thru the carbine and it still works great. Not the best looking gun ever designed, but a great little carbine.

The second admendment GUARANTEES the other nine and the Constitution!

Thanks for all the advice, I am going to get the PC9 since I already have a Ruger 9mm and have a couple of extra mags already so it might be worth the extra money.

    Thanks again
