S&W K-22 Masterpiece Value
I have a K-22 Masterpiece that I belive was produced in 40's, just a guess as I am 63 and my father had it when I was really young.
I would like to know if anyone can give me a fair value, as I am contemplating selling on auction. The numbers K 56740 are on butt of handle. On the swivel for the cylinder it is stamped on the frame just above that, with cylinder open it is stamped S or 5 space and 532. On the frame just above the swivel is stamped 553 2 1. I measured the barrel from the muzzle to entrance to chamber in front of cylinder and it is 6". The grips appear to be walnut and are not marred or scratched. I am not a gun grader, but I would say it is 90% with the ejector rod showing the only wear at all. The Grips appear to be factory checkerd. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your response. I have two different gun dealers say they thought it would be more, but also could not say for sure if they

The gun alone in 90% condition will probably bring between $350-$500. But, anything can happen in an auction and all it takes is two bidders who both decide they can't live without it. Or, it may go unsold on a bad day. Stating a value for a particular gun or predicting how much someone else is willing to pay for it is impossible. Want to know what it's worth? Start it at $1.00 and the bidders will tell you.
