I have a Russian SKS, dated 1954,7.62x39. Very good condition looks like new. about what would it be worth. Thanks in advance.

  hi; i have a friend that moved from pa. to fla,he left sks at my place; now he wants me to ship to him; it is registered to him;what are the best ways to handle this?

  hard to say, the market goes up and down on these. i belive the russians are the best so i would say anywhere from $250 to $350, however there are some overzealous folks who will gladly pay more.

  The Russian models are more desirable to most. They are fewer around, the Chinese Rifles are more abundant. Keep your eye on Gun Broker they usually have a variety of these on hand. Hope this helps.

  Ammo is very cheap right now , about $80.00 for a 1000 rounds.
  For centerfire short range varmint or even deer -100 yards or less it is a nice gun for home protection, and the Russian models hold their value better.
