I sold a Mini-14 SS ranch rifle with a wooden stock for $350 a couple of months ago. I sold the scope I had on it seperate. Hope this helps.

The Blue Book list it at $350.00 at 98% condition. But Ruger is now making all non Law Enforcement mini14s where they want except High Capacity Magazines. A friend of mine who owns the largest gun shop in our area had a used one and sold it for more than the new ones sell for. So you might keep your eyes and ears open to see what happens. Hope this can help.

    Good Luck.

This is a purely political statement.
I have sold every Ruger fiream I ever owned.
    I will never own another.
When Bill Ruger said "The public doesn't need hi cap magazines" he made an enemy of me.
Bill Ruger can suck the penis of a mule as far as I am concerned!
    Ruger sucks!!

I agree, but I won't sell the Ruger I bought used.

Sorry, but Ruger has NOT changed the design of the Mini-14.

I think this "mis-information" about the current production Mini-14's not being able to accept "high-capacity" magazines is the result of a whole bunch of junk high-capacity magazines "floating around" out there. People buy a new Mini-14 and a junk magazine and when it doesn't work they conclude that Ruger changed the design.

I wish I could say you are right, but call ruger for yourself. The design has been changed the magazine well will only except single stack magazines. As Ruger has narrowed the width of the magazine port on the gun its self. The mini 30 has not been changed it will still except after market magazines. According to a Phone discussion I had with Ruger, the mini 30 never had factory made high capacity magazines. Thus no changes made by Ruger, or I will say less liability for Ruger. So it will except after market pre ban mags. This is one topic I wish I could swallow as being wrong and go on. But I cant. There are some older manufacture new guns in a wharehouse some where Im sure. I keep watch for one at Gun Broker.

Called Ruger at the Ruger Rifle "Technical Assistance" line: 603-865-2442, regarding this question of a change in mags.
Talked to Tammy, who stated "there has been no change in magazines, for the mini-14".

Sell everything separate, especially all the extra accessories.
The rifle itself is about $350 as noted previously. If you sell the whole package together, you'll probably lose out because you won't get $1000+ that you probably put in it. The drums alone have sold for $150+/ea. Depending on aftermarket mfr of mags, it could be worth $40/ea for a PMI or nothing if it's a USA. Scope not more than $200 or so. Folding stock about $75. Hope this helps. GD

I am glad you did that springcreek I called the same number and ask the same question about them changing the mini-14 so it would not take High Capacity Magazines. The polite lady told me they had not changed a thing. I told her of my experience with my local dealer, and also I had first hand knowledge of the change. I then ask her to double check. She did and came back and said they had indeed changed the guns where they would not except Hi cap Mags. I politely thanked her and ask if her name was Tammy, she said it was. I was hoping I was loosing my mind, but I was right. The only reason I even mentioned it was to help someone to hold onto something they couldnt replace. Thanks for your interest springcreek the number you gave was right and you were just misinformed. The no.is 603-865-2442 try it again, I think you will be informed differently. Good Luck.

Oh, I too disagree with Ruger, but I am still keeping my GB's.
As far as the single stacks, won't believe it till I see it myself.
Probably just another malicious rumor again spreading on this forum.
