There's zero collector interest in boxes of USGI .45 ball ammo, and minus collector interest in partial boxes. Shoot it.

the ammo has better value being sold, someone will give you more for it than its worth for there collection, or trade for modern ammo, do not shoot it!!!! it is highly corrosive!!! if you shoot it be preparied to completely disamble your pistol for cleaning as you would any gun shooting black powder, (hot soap & water) although in this case its the primers that are the problem.

As one who collects & deals in a limited way with ammo, I completely concur w/ nmyers & f392. Pre WW2 for collecting (and then only if it is unusual or in full boxes), late 50s for shooters, stuff in the middle is essentially valueless. You can pick it up at any gun show for $0.10 to $0.20 a round, max . . . and usually it gathers dust. Too common to be of interest to any collector and, being corrosive, of virtually no interest to a shooter.
