Wow! Could you pick two more different guns? These are like night and day ...

If there is no concern for concealment or weight, I would prefer the full size Beretta ... even though I like the HK compact, the Beretta with the longer barrel/sight radius and ability to accepet hi-cap mag has obvious advantages ... I would say try them both and go with the one you like best and are the most accurate with!

Get a Glock 19. If you are going to be doing a lot of work, then grains, dust, and all kinds of crap will get in your gun. A glock can handle more abuse than any other gun out there. Get a HK compact if you plan to keep it under your shirt, get a glock if you want to keep it exposed.

My gun is prettier than yours, and it's a Glock!

I really don't think it matters at all. Which gun do you like more. The 92F has the longest track record, passed some of the toughest tests a handgun can endure and is just a plain good gun.

I'd buy a clean used Beretta, field strip it once a week, and then pass it on to your kids when you retire.

Go to a local gun dealer who stocks both of these fine weapons. Feel the guns which one fits your hand best, and which one has your best point of aim. Either choice I dont think you will be sorry. Hope this helps.

    Good Luck

I hate to recommend something that wasn't one of your original choices, but I ranch in Texas, and I do carry a Glock 19...great gun, never in the way, and I've never found it lacking when it was needed. I (ahem)discouraged a dog from running my yearlings with it the other day.

WOW!....as Kimber said....could you pick two more different guns?
For what my two cents is worth....I am not a fan of Beretta. In my opinion they stove pipe to often. I am a die-hard H&K fan! I love the USP series.....however....(I can't believe Im choosing somthing over H&K!!!) I would have to agree with the previous suggestion....You want a nice, reliable workhorse of a gun.....the glock will serve you well.....I would seriously suggest you try firing any gun you buy, before you buy it.....rent one from a range....see how you like it and then decide.

I have never shot a Beretta but used to own a Taurus. Taurus bought rights to produce the Beretta. I had a PT100 40 cal, it was the biggest piece of junk I ever had, stove piped every third round. Accuracy was horrible as well. Id pick the HK over the Beretta hands down every time. If you want a full sized gun to compare to the Beretta, look at the full size USP. If it were me, Id buy a Kimber SS target 5" series 1, Accuracy is great and it feeds flawlessly. Good Luck

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

AHEM......the beretta product never was and never is produced by Taurus. Taurus simply changed one or two internal pieces enough to get by the patent infringement laws. Berettas are not to be confused with Taurus products. Shoot them side by side and you will soon see the reason for the price tag difference.

This may be one time I would suggest a Glock. I would rather beat a glock to death than an HK. You will hear a lot of OPINIONS about which guns are better here, and that is good. BUT, there never has been a glock which could put up with any MORE torture than an HK product. They may not put up with less, but they certainly won't put up with more. I would find a used glock and carry that, it can be had for $150-$200 less than an HK and therefore, all things being equal, you will have some money left over for other things.

A great rifle with a junk scope,....is junk.

Don't you hate when people who dont know what they are talkin about try to tell you your business? I sure do. In 1980 Forjas Taurus buys all assets of Beretta, located in Sao Paulo, Brazil thus obtaining pattent to Beretta. Just thought you might want to know JUSTC.

You would be well served with either one. Shoot them both if you get a chance and see what feels good in your hand. I have an HK USP .40 compact and it is a very reliable firearm. The HK is smaller and lighter also.

Now if it was me, I'd buy a Glock 19...Good luck with your choice
