Small arms ammunition is regulated as ORM-D (Other Regulated Material). Whether following the rules or not, I've had many ORM-D packages left without signature.

In most cases when you buy ammo it is a courtesy for the phone rep to ask you if you would like for an adult to sign for your shipment. That of course is entirely up to you. If you deal with a company for a while they usually dont even ask you for they have your previous records on file. Hope this helps.

    Good Luck.

i have the shipper mark my package Attn. shipper:please leave at door. and include that statement in my adress after my name, but before the street adress. ups(1-800-pickups) states that ammo may be left at door, and does not require an adult signiture. sometimes the driver does this, sometimes not. 96 harley is right, you need to talk to your driver.

GL, I oughta know the answer, but I don't. The only times in 30+ years I've needed to sign for it was when the shipper required it. The only time any customer has needed to sign for it has been when the carrier took it upon themselves to require it - possibly by state or local regulation. From this, in the absence of instructions one way or the other, I infer (fancy word for guess ) it depends on the locality &/or the driver.
