SKS in New York City

Hello all.

I would like to purchase SKS in NYC. What do I have to do with it, so that it becomes legal to register? I know the bayonet and bayonet mount have to go. Aslo it cannot have a grenade launcher, or even carvinf for intalling the grenade launcher. Please help and suggest an FFL, preferrably a store, so that SKS can be sent to that place and i would be able to buy a box for that rifle.

  I don't know if anyone who post here regularly is in NYC.
  
  New York City's laws differ substantially from New York State law. Best thing you could do is search the phone book, find the closest "Firearms Dealer" and visit their store to find out what the specific city laws are.

  Anything even hinting of this type of arm is considered off limits to the best of my knowledge. I left NYC about a decade ago and haven't regretted it although I miss some things about the city. Everytime I think about moving back, I think of Hillary and Schumer and gun registration and being fingerprinted and.....
