Cheap SKS, want new barrel?
I ran across a torn up Norinco SKS at a pawn shop. The owner had it on his cheap gun rack for $125 but said he'd take $100 for it. I went back at lunch today and he's still got it. It seems to function dry firing it anyway, but the bayonet lug has been cut off, and the stocks scratched up.
If its still there I might go back and buy it, but I want to know how expensive it would be to find a new barrel for it? Would it be worth it?
I just wish I had a dollar for every gun I wanted, then I'd be a rich man.

Are you curious about a new barrel just because the bayonet lug have been cut off? I think that was done for import reseasons. Mite be some legalities involved if you swap barrels. I'd be more iterested in the riffling and blueing. I know SKS stock go for about $10 to 15 bucks, but scratches can be sanded out. My guess is it has a value of $150. Good luck in you decision. 0 -
Oh, its to late now, someone else already bought it.
