Smiths in L.A.?

Any recommendations of quality gunsmiths in the greater Los Angeles area?

If quality work can be done locally, why send it out? It's a lot more comfortable dealing face-to-face and supporting local vendors.

  Try Mathuews and son's in Downey Cal 3 generations of gun smiths.

  Give Bain and Davis a call. They are in San Gabriel and are recommended by more than a few local gun shops that don't have a gunsmith on site. Ask for Emmit. They do good work, are reasonable and extremely honest. I once inquired about having one of his guys polish up the dull, matte finish on my mini 14. Instead, he explained how I can easily do it myself to save him from charging me. Can get anymore honest than that.
