Need help identifying a Yugo M-90 .308 mag
I have what I think is a factory Yugo M-90 mag in .308 Win, 30 round. I bought it in good faith as a factory Yugo mag from a reputable distributor of Yugo rifles for a customer (Ron Shirk's Sports) many years ago. The customer failed and i am finally getting around to offering the mag for sale, just as it came from Shirks. In the wrap with the Mitchel Arms sticker.
My problem is that I have gotten an email from a "respected authority" who says its aftermarket. I need learned advice. Please email for a pic, or explain how I post a pic here. Thanks

The factory only ever made 20rd mags. All of the 30rd ones were aftermarkets. Most of the 20rd ones available from Mitchell were aftermarkets too. The gun came with a Yugoslav made 20rd originally. The later ones came with a factory 20rd blocked to 5rds. It was easy to remove the block. They were made before 1994 and had only been modified to meet import standards of the day. That is why the majority of the magazines for the Yugo .308's were made in this country by an aftermarket manufacturer, but yes they were made for and sold by Mitchell, the importer. So yes, your "respected authority" is correct, they are not factory, but they are as close as you'll ever get. Original Yugoslav mags were hard to get over a decade ago. Today they are nearly impossible. Even the aftermarket ones aren't too easy to find. 0
