The factory only ever made 20rd mags. All of the 30rd ones were aftermarkets. Most of the 20rd ones available from Mitchell were aftermarkets too. The gun came with a Yugoslav made 20rd originally. The later ones came with a factory 20rd blocked to 5rds. It was easy to remove the block. They were made before 1994 and had only been modified to meet import standards of the day. That is why the majority of the magazines for the Yugo .308's were made in this country by an aftermarket manufacturer, but yes they were made for and sold by Mitchell, the importer. So yes, your "respected authority" is correct, they are not factory, but they are as close as you'll ever get. Original Yugoslav mags were hard to get over a decade ago. Today they are nearly impossible. Even the aftermarket ones aren't too easy to find.
