38 special load data
Does anybody know where I can find some load data for a 38 125 grain lead round nose/flat point bullet. Any information would help. Thanks.

Do you have acces to any reloading data manuals? I think Lyman's manual will give you data for a 125 grain lead bullet.

There are many sites on the web with reasonably reliable load data. I've gotten mine through web searches. Look up the powder manufacturer web sites for starters.

If you tell me what powder you are using, and what you want the ammo to do, I have a bunch of manuals and can give you some specs.

I have tried web searches, but all I can find for a 125 grain bullet is for JHP, JSP, I can't find any for the lead flat point.
eric,
I am using bullseye and I'm just gonna use it for some plinking around. Nothing special.
Thanks.0 -
For lead, go to http://www.imrpowder.com/handgun/38s_index.html and use the 148 gr. data, starting (as always) 10% below and working up to a good safe accurate load. Otherwise, start with 2gr of bullseye and work that up. Either way should work.
If that doesn't please you, go to almost any reload book and use the 125 gr JSP data and work up as above. Normally it isn't a problem to go from jacketed to lead (don't go from lead data to a jacketed bullet without backing down 15%)
