tumbling shells
I used to tumble brass/brass, alot on 38s etc, once with walnut shell media, and then in a homemade screen cannister to get rid of the excess media, before reloading. With target loads the shells would last 8-10 loads with only a real minor crimp. Hope this helps the new tumbler.

On my personal .45acp target loads I usually get about the same life out of them. I use walnut media, and then siphon, and then put them in another bowl with corn cob media to polish the up. I usually get an ammonia free polishing addative to add into the corn cob mix from Dillon, I forgot what its called, but it helps alot. Gets the nice and purteee. I don't know if a new tumbler would increase the life expectancy though. But lower temperature burning powder helps.
