Personally I cant say I have any experience on the Keltec, but I can speak of my experience with the Ruger. I own a Ruger PC9 carbine and have plinked away many rounds of ammo with it. I only had one malfunction with it, and that was with a high capacity magazine which I knew had a weak spring. I changed to other High capacity mags and knock on wood havent had aproblem since. I assume you know that all three firearms will except high cap mags. I have been told the Keltec can be modified to except most any pistol mag, pre ban high caps or 10 rounders. Gun Test magazine put these three guns head to head. After testing all three guns with different types of ammo. All guns functioned flawlesly. They recommend firearms to their subscribers in a few different ways, they get best buy conditional buy or dont buy ratings. These guys really get out there and test them, and consider many things before rating a firearm. Price, the way the gun shoots, and reliability. On there test among the firearms you mention, Keltec got best buy,by there profesional opions I hope this can be of help to you.
    Good Luck!

Rugster, thanks for the info. Have been struggling with this decision. Have all the Ruger P series pistols but purchased a Kel-Tec P11 for summer carry with light clothing and like the idea of a matching carbine.

Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.

I have a KelTec 2000 and so far it's been a good buy. Very convenient storage features too.

I've fired the Ruger and own a Camp 9. I didn't care for the trigger on the former, although I must say it fed everything I put in. The Marlin I absolutely love! I have to agree about the accuracy not being the best, but I love its contemporary styling (wood!) and reliability. I also have a companian S&W 59 pistol that takes the same mags. Hicaps are readily available. Marlin's service has been second to none. I sent it in for repairs and not only did they not charge me, they also replaced the entire magazine well and threw in a new stock for free. I couldn't believe it when I opened up the box. I thought they had given me a brand new gun! My humble opinion.
