Remington model 31
I was given A model by my father-in -law and I want to value it for insurance purposes. He bought it in the 40's, Shot it fives times, and had it in storage until he gave it to me. Original condition and it hasn't been shot since I received it. Please give me some range of value.

1) Entirely different design
2) The 870 replaced the Model 31
3) Some do, but most dont.

The Remington 31 shotgun is a slick, slim, well designed pump shotgun
that is undervalued in today's market. I prefer it over the bulkier, less smooth, Winchester Model 12. The only issue I could have with it, as I have with Remington's older guns, is the thin flat blue job.0 -
Have a Remington 31 for 3 years - bought for $150 in vg condition. Basic model but very nice to shoot. Looking for another one to buy but hard to find for reasonable price in good condition in my area. Feel it's about equal to my old Model 12.
Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.0
