    The information that I have is that Meridan Fire Arms Company was the successor to A. J. Aubrey. Apparently they were in existance from 1905 until 1918.

    They made some very fine sidelock shotguns that was generally sold through Sears, Roebuck & Company. If you run across a 20 gauge one that you don't want, then PLEASE put up a notice for me. If it has the high quality Damascus barrels, or the Krupp fluid steel barrels and is anywhere in my price range, I would be very interested in it.

    I would not be suprised if the engraving were factory. The factory engraved shotguns were done by the same artisans who did engraving for Parker Bros. and other Connecticut gunmakers.
