What holster for a Single-Six - need recommendatio
I need a holster for my Ruger Single-Six, 4-5/8" barrel. It needs to be a "high-rider" and fit on the same belt I use with my jeans. Nothing fancy or expensive...just something I can carry the pistol in when I ride the fenceline on my 4-wheeler. And something compact enough I don't have to take it off when I have to do some work.
What brands would you suggest and do they have a website?

The "Hunter" line is an old standby for the type of use you describe. You might also take a look at the Triple K line, perhaps the Model 310, which is similar to the Hunter-type. www.triplek.com. Neither brand are things of beauty, but they are functional, durable, and not too expensive. 0 -
I am going to vote with "Der Gebirdsjager" on this one as well.
I have a Hunter 1100B 5 that the single six fits into nicely.
I move it over to the left side "cross-draw" fashion when I am on the tractor or riding mowers, it seems to get in the way less frequently there.

Rafter-S, I have carried mine in a Bianchi #1L since the day I bought it, at least 15 years. This is a quality leather holster. Check them out.

The Bianchi is a nice one for strong side carry. I recently got a cross draw from Dan Blocker that I'm really pleased with. You might want to consider it. Rides very comfortably when seated either in a vehicle or the ATV. Traditional strap type. 0
