I have a Kel-Tec P11 that I bought used for a good price but I can't hit anything with it. I am getting groups of about two [2] feet at twenty-five yards from the bench. Is this normal? I am not the best pistol shot but I can get six [6] inch group with my Ruger 45. I have added a trigger shoe, P40 recoil springs, finger extension mag floorplate and a trigger stop but still can't hit anything with it. Any help?

Fred you didn't buy a target pistol, you bought a self defense hand gun. 25 yards? Try 7 yards point and shoot at a sillhouette target if you know how (no insult intentended) and tell me how it does. Mine stays inside the small sillhouette 7 ring double tapping.

Thats what my brother-in-law told me also. I have seen other compact gun that shoot much better. I just wondered if my gun was the same as all P11's.

Well Fred, if you want a accurate subcompact, buy a Glock 36. It's very accurate considering it's size and caliber.

If you are unhappy with your P-11, let me know and I'll buy it off you. I would buy a G36, but only have enough to cover a P-11.

Nik I think I'll keep the Kel-Tec and play with it some more. Maybe try someother ammo. Anyone have any good loads for the Kel-Tec P 11? I have been shooting Winchester 9mm 115gr. ball. [cheap from Wallyworld] Also I hate Glocks.

Dry fire it over and over .If it bothers you to do this get some snap caps.I find mine very accurate but it takes a lot of getting used to.When you find yourself shooting it well you will notice a large improvement in shooting any other handguns you might own.

Ditto what ATF said but DO use the snap caps. Ruger makes a rough tough and dependable weapon but has never been noted for a real good trigger except when you compare it to the little P-11. This long, heavy trigger pull takes a LOT of practice IMHO.

Thanks ATF and Punchie. Yes I have been dry-fireing the Kel-Tec a lot. I had not fired a double-action pistol much before this one, it takes getting used to. I do need to get some snapcaps for the gun.
