QUICK,
You may obtain an (03) license which is C&R if you meet the requirements. Go to: www.caag.state.ca.us. I have been licensed for over 25 years as an (01). Your cost is minimal compared to mine. Suggest you do it asap as there are many laws that are changing in California, aka Cal Russia by the idiots. Just do it.

Saxon:
California Penal Code, Article 3, par.12230, 31 and 32 says DOJ will issue permits for possession, manufacture, etc. of Class 3 weapons.
Article 4 par.(or sec.) 12250 says DOJ may grant licenses for not more than 1 year to permit the sale of machine guns.
Seems like it's easier to own and sell class 3 weapon than "assault weapons".
When you die your assault weapon gets melted down, can't even pass it on to your kids.
Somewhere else it says that class 3 weapons can't be imported into the state, you can only buy and sell those that are already here.0 -
hey guy's, do all of us a favor, if you do not know the CORRECT answer to a question, please do not reply. some of us junior members rely on a good valuable opinion rather than one which will earn you a SENIOR mmber status on GB. shoot often miss less and have fun, clarkey 0 -
Quick, I agree with Saxon, if I had it to do over again, I would not get one, and I live in Kansas. You can buy everything but firearms at what it costs a dealer to buy the same stuff so why have a license. If you want to buy a gun, find a dealer that charges $20 to $25.00 for a transfer and do it that way. Much less headache and no record keeping required. 0 -
I have had an FFL (01) out of my home for 24 years. During that time, I have sold about 2500 guns. I have had two audits, and both were thorough, but professional and courteous. I collect and pay state sales tax, I report income, I keep my bound book accurate and up to date, and I follow the law. If doing that is a "hassle", don't get the license. If you really want it, doing it right is not as oppressive as some would have you believe. 0
