Anybody had any experence? I think I`m falling in love with one in 9mm, but before I part with that kind of money, I`d like to here good things about it from someone who knows!

I bought one when they first came out because of all the glowing reports on it. The reports were right, superior ergonomics, reliability and accuracy but they did not say enough about the unique trigger system. The standard P99 takes awhile to get used to the rather unusual SA trigger. It re-sets to the forward DA position and upon an easy break travels to the regular SA position with very little pressure. I am told this was a safety feature designed in to help eliminate a stress-fire situation for the LEOs.

Don't have a 92 to compare it with but I do have a 96 DAO and both the 96 and the P99 have proven to be utterly reliable, edge in accuracy to the P99, ergonomics = P99, size and weight to P99, action = anything but a P99.

I have had a 92 FS for several years now. As far as accuracy goes, I can constantly hit 12 gage shotgun shells (emptys) at 15 yards. I am not that great of a shot either. I have never had my hands on a walter 99 yet so can't say how they shoot.
