Personal Defense Ammo for 380 Auto

I live in Florida, where it is imperative that your weapon be completely concealed even if you have a permit, so I have opted to go to a 380 auto. What I am trying to decide is which Personal Defense Ammo affords the best stopping/take down characteristics. While I value opinion, I ask that your replies be fact based. I have attempted to wade through the statistics provided by varying manufacturers, but, frankly, I am not certain what the most critical characteristics are. All advice will be appreciated.

  I bought my mother a beretta 1934 for home defense whe ndad is gone, loaded up the mags with silver tips.

  Any of the So Called Safty Ammo should work well. Hydra Shock makes some and so does Mag Safe. There are several brands. My 2 cents

  although there are many opinions on the subject,none have been tested on human, live targets. if there were many did not live to tell about it.My opinion for whatever it is worth, is shot placement. many company's boast that there bullet will penetrate so much ballistic gelitan and will not ricochet or travel beyond it's intended target. but even a full metal jacket to the cranium of a suspect, or the center of the chest will more than do the job. concentrate on shot placement rather than ammo company propaganda. i shoot nearly 500 rounds a week out of a hand gun and the boy's at the range never ask me which bullet i think will do the job.THE WELL PLACED BULLET WILL ALWAYS DO THE JOB.i am not bragging, only stating fact.ask anyone that has ever been shot which would they rather be shot with? you probably will not get a reply out of the man that has been shot with the well placed. shoot often,miss less and have fun, clarkey

  Pick Penetration first and Expansion second in your choice regardless of caliber. If the bullet doesn't hit the vitals you will be in trouble. I think you will find that Silvertips, Gold Dots, and HydraShoks will all work pretty well. Fortunately in Florida, your ammo may not have to deal with extra layers of clothing.
