Winchester Thumb Trigger 22

Does anyone have a picture or a link to a picture of a Thumb Trigger 22 Winchester? I found one in a pawn shop and the $399 price tag scared me off at first; then I looked at the Blue Book. I want to compare the stock. The one at the pawn shop looks cut down or customized from another single shot 22. It has a Winchester butt plate, but I'm not to sure about the originality of the stock.

  I just did a search on gunbroker on completed items. Click by item #and enter item # 3086279 That item has several good pictures posted of both sides of the rifle. The price seems right on the one you are looking at. One thing to watch for is cracks at the wrist, they were weak there. I gave $500.00 for mine at Tulsa last spring. It's good but not perfect. The first models were chambered for 22 short and long. The later one's were 22 short, long and extra long. There are no cuts in the stock whatsoever on the bottom except for the assembly screw.

  There are a few pages on the thumb trigger in Herbert Houze's book To The Dreams of Youth WINCHESTER .22Caliber Single Shot Rifle
  They were produced from 1900-1923 and approximately 76,000 were made.
  
  The bad thing about buying a thumb trigger is then you will want a 1902 and a 1904 and a model 58 and a 59. Then a 67 and 68. It's a sickness I tell you.

  I took a look at # 3086279. Nice looking WALNUT stock. Rabilli, better study up on Thumb triggers before your purchace.

  Really a shame too, as it is a good looking stock. I've gone there, but no more. Best for a collector to KNOW what they are doing, it's less expensive that way.

  I went back to look at it. It looks like it has a stock from another rifle and was made to fit.
