It sucks to be from CA...a quesiton regarding laws
How long does a pistol usually take to pass the california tests. Any of u who have any ifo on the subject would be a hero to me if they helped me out here. i want the walther p22 more than anything and cant find out how long till it will be legal. Another question is it legal to buy a gun outside Cali and bring it back.?

Not just someone. The way the stupid law is written the manufacturer must be the one submitting and it is 6 guns, 3 for the drop/safety tests and 3 for the firing tests. POS law.

Totally agree with LTS. For the price, you can get a stainless Ruger Mark II Target that your great grandchildren can pass on and on and on. If you really want the Walther, move up a state or two to Oregon or Washington, or east to Nevada. It'll probably be cheaper. GD 0 -
P22's are not what they say they are. Only kept mine for two trips to the range.

Just picked up my P22.There is a sticker on the case that says "This pistol has not been tested for compliance with Massachusetts law.It is NOT TO BE SOLD in Massachusetts.Didn't mention the land of fruit and nuts as we refer to California. 0
